Collection of Data

When you visit our site, we may collect and store information about your visit, including the time and length of your visit, the pages you look at and the web site you visited just before coming to ours. We may also record the name of your Internet service provider. We use this information only to measure site activity and to develop ideas for improving our site.

There may be opportunities on our site for you to provide us with information about you and your interests, such as name, address, telephone or email address. If you choose to share any personal information with us, we may store it and use it for marketing research and other marketing purposes, which may include sharing it with other Ride Control companies and business partners. We will never sell your information to any other company.

We may send “cookies” to your computer. “Cookies” are files that can identify you as a unique user and store your personal preferences as well as technical information (including click through and click stream data). Cookies can either be permanent (i.e., they remain on your computer until you delete them) or temporary (i.e., they last only until you close your browser). We may also use “Web beacons” that monitor your use of our sites. Web beacons are small strings of code that provide a method for delivering a graphic image on a Web page for the purpose of transferring data, such as the IP (Internet Protocol) address of the computer that downloaded the page on which the Web beacon appears, the URL (Uniform Resource Locator) of the page on which the Web beacon appears, the time the page containing the Web beacon was viewed, the types of browser that fetched the Web beacon and the identification number of any cookie on the computer previously placed by that server. When corresponding with you via HTML capable e-mail, Web beacons let us know whether you received and opened our e-mail.

On their own, cookies or Web beacons do not contain or reveal any personally identifiable information. However, if you choose to furnish the site with personally identifiable information, this information can be linked to the data stored in the cookies/Web beacons.

By accepting these Terms of Use, you specifically agree to our use of cookies and Web beacons. You may adjust your browser to reject cookies from us or from any other Web site. Additionally, by setting your Web browser to display HTML e-mails as text only, you may be able to prevent the use of some Web beacons.

User Contributions

If you send, post, or otherwise provide to Ride Control any comments, content or other materials, such materials will be treated as non-confidential and non-proprietary. By posting such materials, you represent to Ride Control and the other users of this site that you own the materials. You retain ownership of the materials you post, but you grant to Ride Control a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, irrevocable, non-exclusive license (with rights to sublicense) to use and commercialize any ideas, concepts, know-how or techniques contained in such materials in any way and for any purpose whatsoever. Ride Control shall have no obligation of any kind with respect to such materials and will be free to copy, use, modify, display and distribute the materials to others, without limitation.

The site may contain links to other Internet sites. Ride Control provides such links for your convenience, and is not responsible for the content of any website linked to or from this site. Links to any other website do not mean that Ride Control approves of, endorses or recommends that website. Ride Control disclaims all warranties, express or implied, as to the accuracy, legality, reliability or validity of any content on any other website.

Access and Interference

The site may contain measures to prevent or restrict access to the site. You agree not to interfere or attempt to interfere with the proper working of the site and not to bypass measures Ride Control may use to prevent or restrict access to the site.

Disclaimer of Warranty

The site is provided free of charge and accordingly is provided “AS IS.” Ride Control makes no representations or warranties of any kind, either express or implied, with regard to the site. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ride Control disclaims all warranties, express or implied, and all implied terms and conditions, including but not limited to those related to merchantability, satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose, title or non-infringement.

Exclusion of Damages and Disclaimer of Liability

Except for liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted, Ride Control and its suppliers will not be liable for any damages, including lost profits, data loss, business damage, damages that are not reasonably foreseeable, or any other loss or damages including consequential, special, indirect or incidental damages.

Without limiting the above limitation, this limitation specifically applies to:

  • The addition, modification or removal of any content; and
  • Third party content and links to third party sites

It also applies even if Ride Control knew or should have known about the possibility of the damages.

Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so this limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. The limitation or exclusion also may not apply to you because your country may not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental, consequential or other damages.

You could be held liable if your use of the site is contrary to these terms or the other terms referenced on this page. You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold Ride Control harmless from and against any claims or liabilities arising out of your use of the site contrary to these terms.

If you are accessing the site in the United States, Michigan law governs the interpretation of these terms, regardless of conflict of laws principles. The laws of the state where you live govern all other claims, including claims under state consumer protection and unfair competition laws. If you are accessing the site outside of the United States, the laws of that country may apply. These terms describe certain legal rights. You may have other rights under the laws of your state or country. These terms do not change your rights under the laws of your state or country if the laws of your state or country do not permit it to do so.

These terms and the other terms referenced on this page, including those that are for specific areas of the site, constitute the entire agreement between the parties with respect to the site.

If any provision of these terms is legally invalid, these terms shall endure except for the invalid provision. However, if a court determines that any provision is invalid, the court may limit the provision, delete specific words or phrases, or replace the invalid provision with a provision that is valid and that comes closest to expressing the intent of the invalid provision.
